Haiti Disaster Relief

How You Can Help

United Methodist Committee on Relief

100% of your donation will go toward Haiti Emergency Relief.

United Methodists have had a long-standing relationship with Haiti through the Methodist Church of Haiti. The strong ties between the Methodist Church of Haiti and The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) helped in facilitating the opening of the UMCOR Haiti field office in 2005.

Methodist Church plans $10.4 million project for Haiti

STAMFORD, Conn. (UMNS) - As America's first lady appealed to the world not to forget Haiti, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) backed a three-year, $10.4 million earthquake relief and recovery program for the ravaged nation. The relief agency's directors approved funding for the "Helping Haiti Rebuild" Project on April 13, the same day as Michelle Obama's surprise visit there. The board's mission volunteers' office announced that more than 3,000 individuals volunteered for future work team assignments to Haiti.
